Truth and Belief

Truth needs to be proven; belief needs to be convinced.

Truth relies on facts; belief relies on narratives.

Therefore, truth is for the past; belief is for the future.

If built on a truthful past, belief is a strength for the future with promise. Without a proven truth, belief becomes religion.

In the world of science, you have truth, such as the periodic table; you have beliefs, such as the first law of thermodynamics, deltaU = Q - W; but you don’t have religion by definition.
